Being mindful in our everyday lives. Appreciating the things we have. Starting with our health. Creating and spreading joy. Finding peace and calm. Nourishing our bodies and souls.

Finding beauty in our lives again

We hear more and more about Mindful Lifestyle or living a more Mindful life. It is almost like a trend that everyone seems to be talking about. But what does Mindfulness really mean?

First, it simply means being present in the moment, to give your full attention to what you are doing in that particular moment. I feel that because we are so busy, often we try to do a few things at one time……which results in us being frustrated sooner or later because nothing was done 100%.

The second, is simply acknowledging and being aware at all times of everything that you have…….starting with health! I think that because we are living in such a fast-paced society, we are forced to constantly think of “what’s next”! We are always hungry for more, and never satisfied with what we have. Even when we are eating and sitting at a table with our loved ones!

Don’t get me wrong, it is not about not having any goals in life! In contrary, I think that we should all have our goals and go after them, but I also think that this all could be done with more appreciation of the things that we have already achieved, and not take the simple things for granted……such as our own health and wellbeing!

If we wish to fully enjoy an activity we must stay present in the moment

Because of the environment that we are living in, we must make an effort to integrate Mindfulness on our lives and live a mindful lifestyle! There are many ways in which you can include Mindfulness in your everyday life, including a 6 week Mindfulness Training, Mindfulness Meditation, Yoga, Mindful Eating and Mindful Living in your home.

Let’s focus on why living a mindful life is so beneficial.

When we run from goal to goal, and from achievement to achievement without stopping to appreciate the success, we end up being satisfied with nothing……or may be for couple of days, but then we feel empty, stress out, burnt out and just horribly tired.

Once we slow down, once we start being 100% present in the moment, that’s when suddenly we start focusing on the big picture. We start to let go of insignificant things that we can’t control. That’s when we also start focusing more on taking care of the most important thing – our own health and wellbeing!

The beauty of being mindful, is not about being perfect. Instead it is about having tools that will bring you back to the basics when you have had a bad argument, day, or week. Tools that will keep you aware of what is truly important to you, and what matters most to you. Your wellbeing and your health.
